Great information about the 17 and 19 revolution and explained how the communists communicated and how Moscow , Russia and USSR were ‘transformed under the Communist regime before the fall in 1990s. Excellent tour Excellent informative tour - the tour guide (sorry I can’t recall her name) was very knowledgable, funny and provided a balanced overview of Russia’s communist history. I unfortunately could only stay for half the tour due to having tickets to the ballet but considered missing the start of the ballet so I could stay until the end it was that good - highly recommend!

Amazingly interesting tour with knowledgeable guide I joined the free walking tour in the morning (RECOMMENDED) with Nik, and he turned out to be our guide for the communist walking tour in the afternoon as well. What a knowledgeable young man! I’ve learned so much about the history of both Moscow and Russia in general in the few hours he led us across town. Definitely join the tour if you’d like to know more about the city you’re visiting!

Communist Moscow Evening Walking Tour I really, really enjoyed this walk. Our guide was knowledgeable, interesting, friendly and engaging. She gave me an insight into political, economic and social life in Moscow through her succinct narrative, humour and real life anecdotes, illustrated by pictures and descriptions of the places visited on the walk. A truly valuable addition to my visit to Moscow. Highly recommend!

So interesting - you must do this tour ! I did this tour with my father. Our guide Elena was so lovely and had amazing knowledge of the history of communism and how things have changed. We visited important buildings and also looked at old photos of how they looked years ago. Elena was very happy to answer questions and talk about her family’s experiences. I would definitely recommend it.

Very informative We visited in early October and really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot. The best part was being able to ask lots of questions and get a better understanding of how this period is viewed by a local person. And I loved seeing the first McDonalds in Russia which will be interesting for anyone else who remembers the Invisibilia podcast about it.

Must do in Moscow and don’t forget to tip them I did 2 free tours with them. The morning city tour which was good. A bit fast paced but good insight about the history of the city. In the evening, I I did a post communist tour, I don’t remember the guide’s name ( short nice lady) but she was amazing and so enthusiastic. She was very knowledgeable and careful to state both sides opinions. At the end of the tour we visited a bookshop with retro salted propaganda posters, nice way to end the tour.

Thoroughly interesting! The tour was a great learning experience with our guide, Anna. She was extremely knowledgeable, easy going and walked us across the city while she shared her stories and knowledge of what communism meant for Moscow and Russia. You walk past all the major tourist attractions in the city so it can double-up as a city walking tour as well.

Excellent tour of communist history in Moscow Great tour. Guide Alex knowledge was excellent. His delivery of all this information was clear, fun and told in a way that he held the groups attention for a full 2 hours. Everyone was sad it was over. His English was amazing as well. This is my second experience with this tour outfit and they are well organized and the guides have been excellent. I would go again and check out another of their tours.

Best tour guide ever! Irina was our guide and it’s the third tour I take in Russia and by far the best! She has the best vibe! She is passionate and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about soviet times. She answered all of our questions (why Trotsky is not mentioned as much as Stalin, etc). She gave us lots of recommendations, books, places to visit, movies. Communist Tour and Free Walking tour My girlfriend and I did a free walking tour and communist tour with Elena as the guide. She was a really great guide, and a very positive and knowledgeable person, whom was very good at showing us around Moscow. She spoke very good English. We enjoyed the two tours a lot, and we’ve gotten to know Moscow a lot better afterwards. Interesting historical walk We took this tour on the evening we arrived in Moscow to get an introduction to the city and the history. Lucky for us we were the only ones on the tour. Our guide Anna was amazing with her knowledge of the city and the history. She shared so many stories with us off her family and the different generations growing up here. The tour covers a numbers of historical areas you may not find on your own. We particularly liked the grocery store. Thanks Anna for a great tour.

Communism tour of Moscow Elena was a superb guide and wonderfully informative giving us the full background and taking us through the events of the revolution and the history to present day ... would highly recommend this tour as it puts modern day Moscow into a real perspective

A glimpse of the USSR It was raining quite heavy for the afternoon tour, but Irina was quite brave and humble. Very informative and with all the detail about such an interesting period of time from a person from within the USSR. Highly recommendable!

We got a private tour by Nik We were in Moscow last weekend and we booked few things in advance a this tour as well. The total communication with this organization was really exemplary. Even one day before we got an reminder with all details again. Nik is a Moscow original with a lot of know-how about the city and many many details about history and culture. We enjoyed the tour with him really very much and we are so happy that we did this tour even it was quite cold night. We can recommend this tour and Nik as a guide with out any constrains.

Excellent. Highly recommend The Communist tour was our first activity of our 5-day stay in Moscow. It was a great way to see a lot of the downtown area, get our bearings, and learn a great deal about an important piece of Soviet history. Anna our guide had tons of information and was happy to answer all of our questions. I would highly recommend this tour to gain insight into this complex and beautiful city.

Interesting and fun Our guide Elena was great...a wealth of knowledge and a warm personality. There were only four of us on the tour and it was easy to ask questions - and to get a good overview of the way communism evolved, how it operated and its effects. I think we parted at about 8pm....after a visit to a favourite bookstore and a beautiful old established grocery store which was fascinating. Well done Elena!

Amazing tour despite the weather The weather was rainy and cold, so we had the tour with only one other person. Despite the wind, rain and the small audience the guide managed to give a lively tour, with many interesting stories, myths, and details. Excellent tour with Irina Another great tour with this company. Our guide Irina was very pleasant and knowledgeable but also gave us a very balanced overview of the communist era, showcased hidden places and the roles they have played in the past. Gave us also very useful tips on other places to visit in Moscow as also recommendations on shops, restaurants and bookstores. Definitely a worthwhile experience that we would recommend.

Free Tour + Communist Tour Thoroughly recommend both tours. We had Nikita for both and he was absolutely excellent. Thorough knowledge of Russian history explained in a clear way and he was open to any questions. Great tour with a great guide !! We did the free walking tour in the morning and Elena, our guide, was so passionate, enthusiastic and full of interesting facts and knows obviously so many things about Moscow, Russia and history that we absolutely wanted to learn more with her. We then decided to take the communist tour and that was not disappointed, it was great to have a Russian perspective of that period of time and that she was so open minded and able to really talk openly about that. Strongly recommend !

Not free, but worth the money Not sure why these tours are labelled 'free', because we had to pay online before going along, but the one we did (of communist history in Moscow) was well worth it. Our guide was very informative about history and in addition, for our first evening in Moscow after over 35 hours travelling, really helped us to get acquainted with what was what and how to get around a bit. She gave us a few tips for good things to do the next day, a few shortcuts and traps to avoid, and other useful information in general. Well worth the time and the money.

Great historical experience We wanted to hear a little bit of the story of moscow and our guide did a real good job in this! we were late and it was no problem - the group wated for us and together we went on! our guide was open minded, friendly and very professional. :-)

Super interesting tour My boyfriend and me booked the tour, because we wanted to get a deeper insight into russian history and culture. Since we did the Kreml tour the day before, we were really happy to have Irina as our guide again. Irina has so much historical knowledge and knows how to deliver it with a smile. I hardly recommend the tour, we spent just 2,5 days in Moscow and the tour lets you see more than „just“ cathedrals and impressive buildings. Thanks again to Irina, it was a pleasure to see the city through your eyes!

Unique and Informative This evening walking tour was unique and informative as it steps you through the history of Russia from the time of Marxism to the fall of the Russian Federation. A fantastic experience with Nik who was knowledgeable and was able to get the essence of the tour across. The highlights for me were seeing where the USSR was born (the Bolshoi Theatre), seeing pictures and understanding how they widened the street by moving the entire buildings and commencing at Lubyanka Square, the former home of the KGB. Highly recommended.

Great experience! Brought Moscow history to life The highlight of my day!!! We had 'Nik' as our tour guide and he was just wonderful. I’ve studied Russian history, and especially the Soviet era, but this tour just brought it so much more alive. Of course, being able to actually visit the places where certain events happened just cannot be beat, and Nik skillfully tied information together, connecting the stops in a way that was both entertaining and incredibly informative. Do not let the 2 hour timeframe scare you. There is enough talking that, at the end, I couldn’t even believe that 2 hours had gone by. All I can say about this tour is- DO IT!

Communist Walking Tour / Free Tour / Alternative Tour We did the Communist Walking Tour and Free Tour with Alex. He is an awesome tour guide! He is knowledgeable, relatable and funny. Both the Communist tour and Free tour were outstanding and probably the best things we did in Moscow. He took really complicated historical issues and explained them in a short way that made sense to everyone, no matter your understanding of Russian history. And seeing the sights were these things happened really brought it to life! He timed the tour perfectly to align with certain moments that take place throughout the city. I just can rate it highly enough! We also did the Alternative tour with Ivanka which was an fun way to see things we would never have came across ourselves. She knows so much about Moscow and it’s neighbourhoods and has put so much effort into her tour. We really enjoyed it!

In the sky First, a special thank to our so friendly guide. The best experience to discover the very high level of military secured access. On the top, the view can be fantastic. Unfortunately it was snowing. Anyway a great discovery. Especially to be on a glass of 8mm thickness at 340 m high. We highly recommand the resto 7Sky. Very good quality of food and friendly staff.

Excellent! Really good tour, Nick our guide was really friendly and had great information! He even had a microphone and printed pics and everything! The tour was a good two hours long but he gave us a toilet break and time to buy an ice cream in the middle in the GSM which was a great idea!!!

He was a good sport and nevertheless showed me around with tons of lovely historical details & personal observations (which I appreciate since I dislike mainstream stories...), in excellent English. If not for his accent he could be an Englishmen himself! Hopefully this review will help to decide to take his tour, you surely would not regret it.

Thorough tour! We had Maria who took us on an extensive tour of red square. She was fabulous - very knowledgeable, professional and reasonable. She worked with us as we battled the awful weather (she found warm dry places to give longer explanations ) and was accommodating as one of us had a knee injury. I thought tour would take three hours but she was with us from 9:30-3:00. Didn’t rush us at all. Fine English. Great and informative day. Totally worth the money.

Elena is absolutely fantastic! We took the free Moscow walking tour yesterday. Elena was so enthusiastic and uplifting. Even though it was a little cold and wet, there was smiles from everyone along the route. The tour was very informative, as we especially loved the tips and food recommendations. 2.5 hour free walking tour in Moscow center A tour offering a really fantastic introduction to Moscow! Irina was a wonderful guide to our group of over a dozen people, keeping us entertained and warm with a couple indoor stops (on a cold December day). We appreciated her sense of humor and personal stories which allowed us to better understand the culture. We made a few stops on the tour which we otherwise would not have visited. Excellent overview: free tour Our tour guides name was Irene I believe. We took a bunch of tours in both Moscow and St. Petersburg. This tour might have been the best. Irene did a fantastic job with giving information while keeping things interesting. She moved the group at a healthy pace and allowed plenty of time for small rests and questions. I thought this was a great way to get introduced to the city.

Excellent Free Tour I did a tour on 31st of December and we had a lovely, very pleasant guide with perfect English knowledge and lots of interesting stories that he shared with us. The group was less than 30 people which felt fine, the guide also used a microphone all the time so it was very easy to hear him. The tour lasted 2.5 hours with the warm stop in the middle inside the supermarket. I definitely recommend doing this tour if you want to experience Moscow in a memorable way and learn more about this lovely city.

Amazing Free Tour What can I say? I wasn’t expecting anything because it was free. However Elena completely changed my mind. She was so knowledgeable and very energetic. She made such a different. The entire tour was very enjoyable and satisfying. I learned so much about the Russian cultures and history. Last but now least her jokes were very good.

Why wouldn’t you a free tour in Moscow? Moscow has broken every stereotype I could think of. The city is wonderful in an individual and easily spend 5 to 10 days here. This tour will give you many of the great basics to the city. But in addition to this to her, you should continue to pursue some of the wonderful cultural spots on your own.

The guide was enthusiastic with a lot of valuable and genuinely interesting information about Moscow. Although it is a free tour, it is kind of expected to give a tip at the end if you enjoyed the experience, it is completely worth it though. I would highly recommend this tour when visiting Moscow.

Moscow Free Tour I absolutely enjoyed my free tour. I luckily found this information via internet, and about 2.5 hours tour was free! The guide was really friendly, kind and informative. I could see how much she loves this city. I wouldn’t have known all this history and stories about this city without this tour. This tour made me realize the importance of knowing the tourist places, not just viewing the outside itself.

Free Guided Two Hour Walking Tour Excellent! Out tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. Information on the web was accurate. Registration was easy and quick, with an email confirmation. Directions to the starting point were clear and easy to understand. The tour included historic and modern Moscow sights. No language problems. Tour pace was not too quick and I didn't get tired during the two hour walk. I will take another paid tour with Moscow Free Tour!

Free Walking Tour, Moscow This always a good way to get a quick, in depth overview of a city. Spend two or three hours walking the sites with a knowledgeable guide and then come back to check out in more depth knowing what you are looking for. This group was fast paced and saw a lot in a short time. Having a small microphone and speaker really helps especially in Red Square where there are numerous other talkers.

Great free walking tour with Elena We are a group of friends and we did a free walking tour of ~2h30 with Elena. It has been fun and instructive, she could share generic facts about Moscow, historical information and various tips i.e. where to eat, which books to read set on the city. It's clear that she loves the city and she tries to transmit that during the tour. Absolutely recommended!

Great free tour, better than some paid ones I took their Free Tour (10:45) and it was quite nice. It wasn't amazing but the guide was nice, told stories and jokes and knew quite a lot. Especially, a week later I took a paid tour by another company and the guide was worse, the tour much worse and less interesting. I can highly recommend this, especially as a starting point when you arrive in Moscow!

Great 2.5 hour free tour in the heart of Moscow We really enjoyed this 2.5 hour free walking tour in the heart of Moscow. Our guide Irina was not only very knowledgeable, but very passionate about her hometown. She allowed us to discover historical places which we'd otherwise miss had we travelled on our own. It's the best option for a traveller first time in Moscow. And what amazed me the most was that this tours are offered EVERY DAY, despite weather conditions. The bad thing was that in addition to us several people signed up, but didn't show up. Please inform these wonderful people, if you are not coming!

Free Walking Tour Moscow I was really enjoyed to join free walking tour around Kitai Gorod district: Zaradye park and Red Square. The guide was very positive and welcome from the beginning and supported the group with a lot of historical facts both with legends and funny stories.

We did the free tour moscow (with donations) and despite the colder weather, the guide did a great job! Elena was a great guide with a very positive attitude! Once again, free tours didn’t fail to deliver As usual, they outdid themselves. We found the best tours are the free walking tours as they have passionate people that want to share what they know. We saw much on this tour and places we wouldn’t have know to go and see. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, and interesting. Went to rd square, st Basil’s Cathedral, the changing of the guards, and so much more. She spent longer on the tour than expected much to our luck. We usually tip these people well as they are worth it. Better than a tour you pay for. We have not had one bad tour with these free tour guides and I’ve been to 58 countries, so I know for a fact. Just remember to tip these people well.

Really beautiful The metro in Moscow is definitely more than just a method of transport. Our guide Anna was great and she explained the political reasons why the metro stations were so grand. I enjoyed the station which looked like a church and the palace station. I was interested to see how the stations had been altered after Stalin was no longer in power. The headphones linked to Anna’s microphone were great because we could hear everything she said even with the noise of the trains. It was brilliant having her to guide us, no stress about which stop to get on or off at.

Moscow Below the Surface It may seem strange to take a subway tour but I recommend doing so if you have seen the sites on the surface (Red Square etc). First, several stations were designed to be a statement of Stalinism. While images of Stalin himself have been removed, the Stalinism in the station interior art remains. You cannot find examples like this in many places so don’t miss out. Our guide did a nice job explaining some of the messages behind the art, where Stalin has been removed or replaced, and the history of the subway, and the use of the stations as WWII bomb shelters.

Amazing Metro The Moscow Metro is world famous and the tour justified the description. Informative and very interesting. Headphones provided and good andecdotes. What history, what stories. We had already spent a day negotiating our way round the Metro and our 2 days following became even more interesting. The tour even included a brush with an officious ‘KGB’ official. The guide was friendly, really good.

Sunny Moscow! ☀️ I did a few tours. The Communist tour, free tour, Kremlin tour & alternative Moscow tour. They were all interesting & it was good to learn a bit about the city whilst seeing the sights. They still ran the Communist tour even though I was the only person...pretty cool that they did that... Would’ve liked to have done the metro tour too but I couldn’t get past the Defender of The Fatherland gathering!!!!

So interesting! We actually did the free tour in the morning and were so happy with it that we decided to go on the metro tour in the afternoon. Our guide Nick (same guide on both tours) was very knowledgeable, just the right amount of year and dates mixed with fun facts, legends and just nice curiosa that make you feel that you know the place so much better.

Discovering the World of the Moscow Metro We were enlightened to a very informative and fascination tour of the Moscow Metro. Literally, a world underground, our guide Elena was superb. Her English is excellent and she is very articulate. Her knowledge of history and pertinent information to what we saw was extremely impressive. The tour not only provided information about the Metro, but also Russian society and day to day life. It was a wonderful tour and highly recommended.

Lots of people, lots of colour and lots of history Anna provided headphones and a radio device so we could all here her clearly. For a first time visitor to the metro it was going down in pto a very busy rabbit warren, but with colour and history shown in. I've been on a few metros, but i would have struggled to find my way to each if the stations we visited, and then we had lots of info thrown in as bonus. A fascinating thing to do, and th help you get your head around the metro if you're new in town.

Moscow Metro Tour- Anna The tour of many of the palatial metro stops was magnificent. The stark contrast from the NYC subway system was eye opening. The history behind the construction and the varied designs of some of the most strikingly beautiful metro stops in the world is a must tour while in Moscow. It is not possible to replicate this tour on your own. Anna, our tour guide, was upbeat, informative, and able to answer all questions without pause. Her English was excellent and made the tour more enjoyable.

Moscow Subway in Depth! I've used the subway as a tourist before but never took a guided tour. The tour was excellent, informative guide who was helpful and always keeping an eye out not to lose anyone. Great explanations at the various stations visited, so not only can you marvel at the Moscow Underground construction and architecture, you get to know some of the stories behind it. Moscow Free Tours were very good to deal with, even helped sort out an issue caused by a booking agency for another tour I had planned.

Beautiful metro stations not to miss when in Moscow Our trip to Moscow wouldn't have been complete with a metro tour. Our guide Alex was great and met us right on time at the meeting point which was very easy to find. Alex was great and had a good sense of humor and was very knowledgeable about every station we departed at. I would definitely recommend this tour it had good timing (1 and 30 mins) and our metro tickets where included in our bookings. May not recommend this trip for young kids, we had a nine year old who got bored and tired throughout the trip and kindly Moscow Free tours didn't charge us for the child.

Fabulous tour - highly recommend We were recommended this tour by a fellow traveller on a previous tour. Wow Wow Wow - it was awesome. Such a fabulous way to get orientated to Moscow. I have been to other underground railway systems but this one far surpasses those. The history and stories represented at the stations is exceptional. We had an amazing tour guide — Lisa. Good experience Good introduction and good view ，I learnt so much from it . A succession of beautiful scenery makes one feel delighted. A long stay in the same surroundings to make everything the same. Routine work often makes one feel bored But if you take a trip or a long journey on your holidays to some scenic spots or historic sites, that will make great difference. Travel can widen one’s knowledge. The farther you go, the more you will learn about different politics, economics, customs as well as geography. If you travel the whole world some day, you will fully understand the globe on which we live.

Wonderful tour, wonderful guide We actually got lost finding our tour (don’t ever use a hop on- hop off bus to get to a specific place at a specific time!) and couldn’t get through to the tour company on the phone (Kremlin blocks phones!), but the tour company couldn’t have been nicer- they waited for us, they tried to contact us, they happily put us on the next day’s tour. And it was sooooo good. Only 6 people on the tour, headsets to make sure you could hear everything and a WONDERFUL guide! Elena was very knowledgeable and also very enthusiastic- she LOVES these stations and wants to share her love! I learnt a lot about Moscow’s history from the tour, not just the stations. Very, very worthwhile!

A MUST DO IN MOSCOW! I did the free walking tour of Moscow in the morning and then decided to jump on board for the Moscow Metro tour. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING BOTH. My tour guide was Nick, who did a fabulous job. Because I did the tour with him in the morning, we were able to build off of the history from the first tour in the metro tour which really heightened the learning. I asked Nick A LOT of questions and he was able to provide ample insight. I left feeling as though I had a much better idea of Russian culture and history. I only had two days in Moscow and was worried about spending the majority of one day on a walking tour. I am so glad I did, it was the best activity I did! 10/10 recommend. Thank you again Nick!

Best way for inexperienced tourists to explore the metro Even though English is included on the signs in the Metro it is still a confusing labyrinth not easily navigated by first-time tourists. This guided tour was a great way to explore several of the most beautiful metro stations in Moscow. Anna was a great guide. The only difficult part was finding the meeting place. I booked through TripAdvisor and the directions were inadequate and we spent about a half hour trying to figure out where to meet. They gave the name of a Kremlin tower but the towers are not marked. The meeting place is located at the tower closest to the ticket office at street level. It is currently under renovation and covered in scaffolding. That being said, I would still recommend this tour because once we found the group everything was great.

4 Tours in Moscow We had the pleasure of taking part in the Moscow free walking tour, Moscow Metro Tour, Moscow communist Tour, Moscow Kremlin tour & a private Driving Tour all of which were absolutely MAGNIFICENT. Our tour guides were Nic & Irana and both were amazing and so very passionate about their wonderful home city of Moscow. Irana took us on the private driving tour which was 4 hours of amazement with her knowledge, passion about Moscow & all the sights we saw. Nic took us on the Free walking tour, Communist & Kremlin tour which were interesting, informative & always patient with our slow walking pace. Sadly we cannot remember the guides name who took us on the Metro Tour but this was also a really interesting tour & well worth taking part in. We dealt with Anna from the office in Moscow from here in Australia & Anna was always efficient & helpful & replied with speed to any of my emails & requests. We loved it We loved the tour, though it was our first experience with something free. Actually it was not free but extreamly cheap. We were lucky with our guide, she was rather informative and funny. We learnt lots of russian political jokes from USSR times. Always brought to nice photostops and we were were able to get awesome shots.

A Day to Remember Our tour was very well organized yet very spontaneous and flexible. We enjoyed the company of our knowledgeable, friendly and cheerful tour guide Diana. The 3 hour tour has passed too fast as the information given were interesting and exciting. Excellent paced tour and informative, friendly guide I really enjoyed the Moscow Free Walking Tour with Anna. She was friendly, knowledgeable and funny! We walked from Kitay-Gorod to Red Square. The pace of the tour was good. I highly recommend this company's tours.

Do yourself a favour, book this tour! We had an absolute blast on this 2.5 hour free walking tour! For a free tour, we got the lowdown on all the hot spots in the centre of Moscow and some great nuggets of history / fables around each location. Our guide, Alex, was amazing, informative and funny. Wish we had more time in Moscow - would have definitely booked another paid tour with them, in particular the Alternative Moscow tour. Highly recommend!

Excellent historical and cultural walk, different of a only touristical tour I enjoyed a lot the aletrnative moscow tour. The guide, Diana, was excellent and took the time to show the off beaten track streets and corners in Moscow.We share our expériences of Russia and other places in the world, so that was really great. I think I learned a lot about the history and the culture of Moscow during this walk thanks to Diana. Congratulations and hope to see you again very soon!

A fun Saturday night Diana (spelling?) from Perm gave a small group (3) a great tour of Kitay Gorad, Holklofka, Morosov Garden, Hitravka and Novokuzetskaya (spelling of all???). She was lovely and interesting and answered all questions knowledgeably. It was fascinating and fun. She left us all at a restaurant where she kindly ran through the menu first with her recommendations. I highly recommend this tour.

Moscow alternative tour with this fantastic guys We had a wonderful tour in the most curious and unexpected spots in the magnificent Moscow. A particular mention to our guide: a smart, so well prepared and cute guy who even waited for us (we were late for the traffic). The tour is excellent: you shall be fascinated by the curious history of several and absolutely unusual places where the guide shall take you on. Urban legends, city history and local myths shall enrich your experience. We really liked and appreciated the afternoon!

Free guide tour Joined to the tour with friend from Germany. All information was absolutely clear and guided us from medieval times to nowadays. We visited some locations in the city center, had a break and finished at the Red square. It was light pleasure tour. I recommend to visit this tour.

An absolute must if it’s your first visit to Moscow Our walking tour of Moscow was excellent; doing it on the first day was a great way to see the main sights and get an understanding of the city. Really glad I did this tour! Anna was a wonderful guide. I enjoyed the stories and perspectives she shared during the Alternative Moscow tour, which took us through a diverse and colourful set of locations. Moscow Free Walking Tour This is a good start and an amazing option for those who are unsure where to start from if they're visiting Moscow. Guide Nik was excellent, very informative and helpful. Very interesting! Our guide Irina spoke excellent English, she was enthusiastic and thanks to her we had lovely 3h tour and we knew where to have lunch and where to buy fresh delicious food. The tour was also perfectly time managed as we arrived to Kremlin exactly when the guards were changing. Moscow is fantastic city and thanks to the Free tour you can also admire its history.

Covered the major sites including St Basil's Cathedral, Red Square, Gum Department Store, Lenin's Tomb, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and The Kremlin. Great way to see and learn about Moscow. A walk through the touching history The guide was knowledgeable and well organized. He had photos of the most of locations how it looked like during soviet era and comparing with the present status. A well sequenced walkthrough started from Kitay-Gorod till Kremlin. All the valuable points are being explained and it’s good for history lovers.

A fabulous tour Elena told us all about how the Kremlin had changed over the years and the various rulers who had stayed or worked there. The buildings were really impressive and we learned about what each one was used for. There were lots of stories which you would miss if you just bought a ticket and went in on your own. Cathedral Square was beautiful and it was great to be able to ask questions about the Russian Orthodox religion. This is definitely not to be missed. Thanks Elena for all the great tours.

Easy Way to See the Kremlin and Get Lots of Good Info Elena was a great guide and this was a fantastic option to navigate and see the Kremlin in an easy way while getting lots of good and interesting information. The tour kicked off on time, we were able to skip the really long line by entering as a group and we were carefully ushered past the other hoards of tourists, which really made me feel like this was a good investment. At the end of the tour, we were free to stick around and explore on our own which was great. Overall it was a good use of our time and a good investment.

Great free tour We did the free tour and it was great. It covered a ton of information and history and took us to all the main landmarks and highlights including St. Basil's, GUM, the Red Square, and the Kremlin. All of the history was explained.

Excellent guide, the best so far! Our guide was absolutely excellent and very knowledgeable. She made the tour comfortable and enjoyable despite the cold weather and was happy to go into more detail on the things we were most interested in. The tour did not include a visit to the armoury however we finished in plenty of time for us to go and see that ourselves before the Kremlin closed. Overall an excellent experience that I would highly recommend.

Really great tours! We have been in Moscow only for a day so we decided to take 3 of the tours offered: the free walking tour in the morning, the Kremlin tour and the communist tour. We really liked all of them. Our guide Elena was great and gave a lot of information about different topics. I'd definitely recommend the tours to everyone who wanna learn some important historical facts about Moscow and Russia in general. She also showed us some nice curiosities about the city, which you prpbaboly won't find for if you just go around by yourself.

AMAZING guide & super informative tour around Kremlin This tour is just 20/10. Not only did we manage to enter bypassing loooong queue, but also our tour guide - Elena - was just sooo knowledgeable, enthusiastic and energetic! She shared sooo much info I would never find it out myself! The tour doesn't include visit in the main Grand Palace - it seems to be quite challenging and expensive to make it happen but all the other buildings, cannons, churches, bells - with the background our wonderful guide provided us with - was all worth it! Fabulous information Our guide was exceptional in explaining the highlights of Moscow and timed the tour to end with The Changing of the Guards at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier outside the Kremlin. Fantastic tour highly recommended.

Great waking tour My husband and I first booked the free 2.5 hour walking tour in the morning, elena was our guide and we enjoyed it very much. Elena is very insightful and happy to answer questions. She provided good recommendations on anything related to our stay in Russia. The tour covers the main sights outside the Kremlin walls and was a perfect start to our Moscow visit. We then decided to book the communist morose tour for the same evening, a two hour walking tour, which was very interesting and got us to see places you wouldn’t normally go to or pay attention to. Great tour. Friendly and insightful guide.

Personalised and knowledgeable, the Armory isn't just weapons! Moscow Free Tour were great, they sorted out an initial booking issue which was solely due to Klook and the Klook booking app, made alternative arrangements at short notice and then delivered above expectation. Our guide, Elena, met us at the designated point and we were into the Kremlin very quickly, much quicker than the first time I visited under a standard visitor ticket. Elena gave a great personal touch to the tour, in depth knowledge passed on to myself and my daughter, and she tailored the tour to us, changing things around a bit as we went to avoid some larger tour groups that were in the Kremlin. Elena made sure that any queries were answered and took additional time to make sure that we got to see the most relevant exhibits, and in doing so ran a little over the designated time, but this was not an issue for her at all. The Kremlin is well worth a visit, the first time I did it solo with a Russian speaker, but doing it with an accredited tour guide made it so much more interesting and enjoyable.
