Sorry I do not remember the guide names … They were very talkative and very into everything. I think they both really love the city, and they made me feel like this too. They knew much about History, which was very informative! Great guides!!!

…We partook of the fantastic Petersburg Free Tour. Due to our timing during the low season (shockingly not everyone is flocking to Moscow while the average temperature is 15F), it ended up being just us and Sonia, the super-guide. She quickly ascertained the limited scope of our wanderings..

It was a great day, and thanks for spending so much time with me. Your English is very good, and your mix of knowledge about current matters, history, and culture is a great addition that I find lacking in many tour guides. Many know the script, but you were able to go beyond the script, and talk at length about what topics came up in conversation. My only complaint was the weather.
I was always told, growing up, that the USSR has a weather control machine, and now I am disappointed that isn’t true.
