Victory Park and Museum Tour

If you are lucky enough to be in Moscow, and you already visited the heart of our capital (the Kremlin and the Red Square) , you definitely need to visit the Park and the Victory Museum. A grandiose memorial, which was established in 1995 to commemorate the Second World War. You will not be indifferent to the huge complex dedicated to the bravery of the Russian people. The Museum in Victory Park is one of the “must-see” places to visit on you trip. The size of the museum alone already amazes from afar. It is truly colossal and to us reflects the significance of our victory. On your tour you will hear many fascinating stories from our professional charismatic guides and have the opportunity to see the following monuments :
  • The Memorial Church of St. George
  • The Holocaust Memorial Synagogue
  • A memorial mosque
  • An open air exhibition of military equipment and a number of sculptures
  • Six dioramas of key battles between the USSR and the Nazis

At the open air exhibition you will see more than 350 models of weapons and engineering structures from both sides of the conflict. You will have the opportunity to visit the renovated military-historical exposition of the museum "Bravery and Victory of the Great Russian People".

With the help of modern multimedia tools you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of wartime, learn what role the State Defense Committee played during the war years; together with the Supreme Commander-in-Chief I.V. Stalin and you will have the opportunity to reflect on the first days of the war. You will get acquainted with the history of the creation and employment of various types of weapons and combat equipment of that time. Interactive map will show the course of combat operations, the bravery of the Red Army soldiers in the battles for the liberation of the temporarily occupied territories of the USSR and the liberation from the Nazi’s of the 11 European states.

The museum has more than 400 exhibits in open air. "Sorry I do not remember the names :( ... They were very talkative and very into everything. I think they both really love the city, and they made me feel like this to. They knew much about History, which was very informative! Great guides!!!"

"We partook of the fantastic Petersburg Free Tour. Due to our timing during the low season (shockingly not everyone is flocking to Moscow while the average temperature is 15F), it ended up being just us and Sonia, the afore-mentioned super-guide. She quickly ascertained the limited scope of our wanderings.."
